Hace tan solo unos d\u00edas, el pasado 25 de febrero de 2021, se cerr\u00f3 el acceso al plugin Testimonial Rotator en el repositorio de Plugins de WordPress<\/a>, tal y como podemos comprobar si accedemos al mismo pinchando en el link anterior.<\/p>\n

Bien, en principio hasta aqu\u00ed nada raro \u00bfno? Hay plugins que no se actualizan en mucho tiempo y son \u201cretirados\u201d del repositorio de Plugins de WordPress temporalmente<\/strong> para que quienes lo gestionan contacten con su desarrollador y les diga si piensa actualizar el plugin o lo piensa dejar abandonado, y as\u00ed darlo de baja.<\/p>\n

Testimonial Rotator \u2013 Detectada Vulnerabilidad Incorregible \u00a1B\u00d3RRALO YA!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Ahora, pocos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de la clausura del plugin, ha salido a la luz la aut\u00e9ntica verdad\u2026<\/p>\n

La realidad del asunto es que se hab\u00eda descubierto una grave vulnerabilidad de seguridad en el plugin Testimonial Rotator. Y lo peor de todo es que dicha vulnerabilidad es incorregible<\/strong>, algo normal si tenemos en cuenta que el plugin no hab\u00eda sido actualizado desde hace 9 meses, por lo que el mantenimiento ofrecido por parte de sus desarrolladores hab\u00eda sido nulo y ahora les resulta muy costoso tener que actualizar el plugin para solucionar el problema y adaptarlo a los est\u00e1ndares de php 8.0<\/p>\n

Por lo tanto, sus desarrolladores no tiene pinta de que vayan a solucionar el problema y la grave vulnerabilidad de seguridad no ser\u00e1 corregida probablemente NUNCA, as\u00ed que\u2026 \u00a1B\u00d3RRALO YA!<\/strong><\/p>\n
